Projects~

I'm the sort of person that always has a rotation of projects across different interests but then can get quickly overwhelmed but whatever nonsense and shelve the project for a new shiny one. This year (2026) I'm hoping can be the year of completions. Completing all of my half finished or barely started projects as well as wrapping up any new ones that I start. I think I will even assign a number to each project 1->n and then use a random number generator when I'm feeling indecisive or just need a nudge in some direction.

1. Murder in the Alps M-MQAL

2. Pskov Viking Underdress

Type: Clothing / Historical Clothing

Started: 2025

Status: In progress

I still need to trim and hem the test garment for this so I can wear it around the house. The fit of it feels a bit off but I think that may be due to all the pieces I had to stitch together to get long enough panels. At the time I was trying to make use of every inch of the nice 100% cotton fabric from the vintage yukata as I could but it kind of bit me in the ass. The piecing makes it drape in a stiff way and I should have trimmed down some pieces. Overall it is an excellent test in that I know all the things I have to change before cutting up the $$$ linen.

3. Neocities

Status: Ongoing

Now this is something I imagine will be a forever ongoing work in progress.

I think it's good to always have something you are working on or towards without trying to speedrun the process to an endpoint. I know that I'm always going to want to mess with the colors, layout, pages, and widgets; so no need to try and achieve perfection in one day.

To Do:

  • Add a media player with 5-10 tracks
  • Add a widget for a picture of the day; test with bluesky to start.
  • Join a web-ring, link to other creators
  • Add a guestbook
  • Add a custom 404 page
  • Make/Add a Kanji of the day widget
