Why a personal site?

So why a personal site instead of say social media?

Well, I have a lot of fondness for what my husband and I refer to as "vintage internet" even though I didn't have internet access until I was halfway through highschool (this was the mid 2000's so a bit behind the times).

My first exposure to online communities was Gaia Online and to me modern social media feels fake, rigid, and hollow.

I wanted a place to document my process on projects as well as having a snapshot of my going-ons at any given point
